What is better? Health or protection?

Also depends on what purpose. If it is your main arena team you should really focus on the toon's proper modding.
If it is outside of arena then you have a great deal of flexibility with mods.
Outside if you have 6 mods that give KRU +30000 protection, + 20000 health, 200 + speed, and what ever combos of offense and crit then you are fine.
