Scratching my head here. I'm on a mature server (mid-December) and am consistently in the Top 5 without ever having to put RG in my team. And I've beaten many teams with RG in them with Dooku as leader, and even a Daka/RG team. Is there something I'm not doing properly, or am I just incredibly lucky?
Team I run is Dooku(L), Phasma, Poe, Geo, Rey. I time my hits to whack one character before RG can taunt up, and if I whiff due to a dodge, well, I just tap RG with basic attacks until I can target my intended again. Protection and my own tank, plus Phasma for TM and Advantage, buy me enough time and survivability to play around RG.
Once I'm done with my ST Han I'll sub him in for Dooku and see how that goes. Same with the Fives I'm also adjusting.
I expect I will be fine.

I've also beaten my share of dooku/rg/daka teams but that doesn't mean the combination is not broken. The combination of stuns from RG/dooku/daka adds the first layer of RNG by keeping some of the team stunned, preventing enough characters on the other team from actually doing damage to take one character on the dooku team to 50% hp. Second layer of RNG comes from the dodge and evasion up. There is a 53% chance of at least 1 dodge in three attacks.This makes it more likely that you will need 4 or more hits to kill a character if you want to bypass Rg taunt. 3rd layer of RNG comes from daka passive rez and active rez. After going through all that RNG just to kill one character, you have to contend with rng from passive and active rez. Is it beatable? of course it is on a good day, but there is no doubt that it is still broken AF. Then there's other RNG to contend with... like failing to dispel a taunt while their QGJ dispels your taunt and gives his entire team offense up.Or failing to kill or stun QGJ.You'll be hitting Rg without offense up while the entire team attacks you with offense up.
Mind you, many others as well as myself have already posted the exact same method on how to defeat dooku/RG/daka combinations. Yet some of us still find them broken... There isn't any hard counter to evasion and you get punished hard with an offense boost if they dodge. There isn't any hard counter to rez and passive rez. You just have to suck it up if the RNG is against you... and boy...that is a lot of RNG including the crowd control stuns. Too much RNG trivializes strategy.
You use dooku to beat a dooku team.So in order to beat an OP character, you use that same character?
You have beaten dooku/rg/daka combinations at least once. Therefore it is not OP/broken. What? Many others have defeated those teams as well. Yet we still don't deny the layers of RNG that are present in the game.we don't deny that there is a lack of consistent counters against dooku's leadership and daka's rez.
You beat dooku/rg/daka combinations therefore rg or dooku or daka is not broken. Sorry that isn't making any sense, there are other variables that affect the outcome of the match. And still there is a lack of consistent counters against dooku leadership and daka's rez
