When to Replace Old Ben with GK

Maybe not the best, but look at their stats, make sure GK has more survivability since they are your tank.

GK's biggest asset is automatic taunt. This makes it unpredictable, in some ways it will already give more consistency to the Revan team. sisters are a soft counter against, but they are practically a hard counter without GK

That said start to accumulate Carbanti, it's 350 for GK and 400 for JKR if I'm not mistaken.

I don't know if you have a fondness for Old Ben's character, but from the point of view of F2P features let him G9.

Rest of the team is Ezra, gmy and Jolee, all g11. Only reason Ben is higher is because the others were locked behind gear requirements before I hit 85 whereas old Ben could get to g11 almost g12.

Is old ben a good tank? For both Jedi and Rebels the answer is yes. There is no turning back on equipment, it is looking forward, but my modest suggestion is that if you are playing pragmatically, do not put any more equipment in it.

But who is starting and playing F2P needs to keep resources under control especially the carbanti 3 and stun gun 5.

Keeping in mind that older character events should be done with minimal resources helps, especially Rey Jedi, CLS, GAT, BB8 and R2D2 events.

The Chewi, C3PO, and Darth Revan events already require another Gear and Zetas pattern somewhere around Gear 11 and yet are still an RNG fighter.

You are probably going to need/get Padme. GK fits best in the Padme team. Don't move your old Ben. Keep him really fast and potent and that will only increase the surviveability of your Bast team. Focus on his tankiness last to those 2. Speed, potency, tankiness.

I think at 5 stars, g11 GK does better but again, your mileage may vary. Get your GK to g11 and then replace Old Ben and see how well you perform. If its not as good as Old Ben in offense and defense, switch back to Old Ben

Old Ben remains a reliable mid-tier tank even in the late game. So switching to Kenobi should be done right about the time you at least to G11 or so. Though the jump from G11-12 is pretty easy for GK so it'll happen quickly.

Just don't completely write off Old Ben. He'll be a great backup tank in a few teams for your GAC squads.
