I'm currently using the following team to usually wreck the sith meta teams:
zQGJ (l), Yoda, JKA, Rey, Phasma
With QGJ leader, my yoda is 260 speed, providing foresight and tenacity to my team first.
QGJ is second at 242 speed to remove pre-taunts, and also giving Rey offense up.
Rey is third at 230 speed, and with offense up from QGJ, uses flurry of blows to destroy (or nearly destroy) any attacker (TFP or EP usually).
JKA at 226 speed is fourth, apply buff immunity to their tank.
Phasma at 176 speed lets all my toons go again with victory march before any slow toons on the opposing side have gone (usually their tanks - just in case JKA didn't apply the debuff).
Usually all their Sith have taken their turns around the time my JKA/Phasma are taking theirs - and with the AI what it is, they blow all their AoE debuffs against my immune team.
I float top 20 in arena with this team, not the first you are looking to keep/hold, but I'd venture to guess if you had been holding 1st, you've probably got better mods than I do.
Teams that give me problems:
B2. My foresight, followed by any AOE from them, means B2 goes next and dispels battle meditation tenacity up. (Baze can be a problem to a lesser extent, but usually his AOE just clears my foresights is all because all the buffs I put up at the start of the fight boost his TM so he goes before any of his allies AOE). I avoid B2 teams, I try to avoid Baze teams. Most teams in top 10 on my server are running one or both though...
Zaul leads when their EP is 208 speed or higher beats my yoda - usually resulting in Rey and/or Phasma getting stunned (making a much more difficult fight).
261 or more speed TFP's can likewise mess up my Rey/Phasma.
If the enemy doesn't have one of those 3 things, the EP/Vader/Maul teams are usually a complete sweep for me, I don't lose a single toon. On defense I usually get knocked from rank ~15 to rank ~35 during the day, so like a droid team I'm a bit weak on the defense side.
