Which characters should i train first

I started the game a few days ago. I already read a few discussions and watched some youtube videos, but a lot of peaple say different things.

Some say the first thing I should do is get CW chewbacca, ST Han, Boba, Cad Bane and Lando maxed first. Some say going for Phoenix is better. So now is my question: What team should I go first for? And do I max it first before starting to farm other characters?

A second thing I was asking myself was: What to do with Guild store coins?

Here you can find my characters

Thanks for the help
  • You need to do the minimum with scoundrels to win credit heists while pushing phoenix as a main team.

You want to max your main team first but you need credits to level up people.

If you can't win credit heist when they come around you can't level people up. You run out real easy later on.

As to guild store tokens buy gear and pick a few characters that aren't priority and buy them when you see them (or pick an extra scoundrel Dengar or zam and buy them when you see them).

For me it's Luke old Ben (for cls event) and Maul (for his ship but his ship is a bad farm) but eventually i want him.
  • Scoundrels are super important - but you don't need to MAX them. ST Han, sure, max him....Boba is pretty veratile so put some extra into him... Lando, CW Chewie, Cad Bane just need enough oomph to win the bi-weekly credit heist.

Guild store coins, as you collect them, pick a character to focus on. If you split, it'll take forever to get anywhere. Spend a small amount on the 3 gear in guild store that are the biggest pain (Mk5 Fusion Furnace, Mk 7 Security Scanner, Mk5 Droid Caller,) but only when you've got 47 of the particular one saved from raids, and it'll get you a complete piece. Jyn Erso is a particularly good toon to choose in guild store.

Phoenix is really good, though. Once you have your scoundrels in place and can get the credits rolling in, Phoenix will easily move you through Galactic War. One caveat... make sure you have 3 separate teams you work up in tandem. If you get one group of characters up too quick, galactic war becomes unmanageable.

For a third team, I'd suggest an empire team. that will set you up to be able to collect R2. Tarkin is a good one to start with, especially seeing as you have him. TFP will work as well. Magmatrooper from the GW store might make a good third, fairly easy to work. I guess Stormtrooper would be a good choice - I like Snowtrooper better, but his cantina shard is on level 7, making him a hard farm early. Look for Palpatine as a 5th if you can get him unlocked.

Biggs / Wedge and Leia will be the ones you'll want to unlock Palpatine. If you're doing Jyn as above, can leave Leia til after you've worked up Tarkin. Hit Biggs before Magmatrooper.

I know that's kind of a lot, but those will get you on your way in the right direction. Oh, don't ignore Obi-Wan... unlock him at least, he's one of the gatekeepers for Commander Luke. Don't make him priority, but if you're ever unsure where to go, spend a couple days on him.

Thank you both very much, I know what to do now!

I find that I accumulate more than enough coins to buy all three that I am farming but maybe those are just rarer than others.

I find phoenix can run ticker to tape easily enough 95% of the time but probably a good idea to work on others.

Try and keep your series investment to three of the empire characters because two will be replaced by Palpatine (legendary character there's an event fro him every 2 months you need 5 rebels, phoenix count) and Thrawn (legendary character you need phoenix event every three months or so).
  • What they said.

Focus on Phoenix. Good team for early game at least for arena and gw. Gets you Emperor and Thrawn. Go for Chopper, ignore Sabine (easier for farming).

2nd priority is your scoundrels. Just enough to win your heists.

3rd Mods. At the beginning, your mainly looking for speed primary arrows and speed secondaries everything else. All 5 phoenix needs speed on every mod. As you collect more, keep the fastest on them.

4th Fleet team. Do some research and figure out which you like best. Me, I like Mace and a target lock team.

5th, plan for the future. As they said, work on empire so you are ready for R2. Phoenix will give you 2. Also, work on an arena team. Phoenix wont do great there forever. Also, look at ewoks and nightsisters for those reoccurring events.

The most important thing is not to get overwhelmed with all of the goals you set for yourself. This game is a marathon, not a sprint.
  • Just wanted to add that when you are able to, you should join an active guild. Once you are in a guild you should work to have at least 1 6* character so you can join AAT raids and when you have a single 7* you can join heroic rancor raids and start getting han solo shards. The rewards for the raids are really helpful and with an active guild they should start every few days. Even last place with 0 damage brings great rewards for new players.
