Why are my characters always being crushed?
I'm trying to advance in the AI battles so I can gain access to more battles and thus character shards, but my team is often slaughtered by the AI. And the confusing part? I send in my highest leveled...

The team composition is important, if your characters have got synergies, they will work better
I doubt synergies will keep the AI from being able to take out over half of a unit's health that is at least ten levels higher.
And my team changes depending on what I feel like using.
Some characters give extra health to his allies, for example, Sith and Empire unde EP lead
I don't have Palpatine. That would require Rebel units strong enough to do the Demise event :\ I have all of Phoenix Squadroon, K-2, Ahsoka Tano (Fulcrum), Biggs, Bodhi, Pao and Leia. Out of all of them, only Sabine and K-2 have a 3+ star rating, so I'm ineligible for the event when it rolls around.
You have some good rebels, bit not a good leader for them, maybe Ackbar helps you, he's easy to farm and a decent leader.
Do you have good allies??? (For example level 85 gear 10/11 characters) If not, I can help you, if you have good allies, PvE battles became a lot easier
How do I get Ackbar? His shards aren't in any battles I can do thus far.
The highest level ally I have is a level 70 something Tarkin. Other than that I'll sometimes see Phasma, Vader, Old Daka and other allies with weak or no bonuses.
1. Ackbar shards can be purchased in the Arena shop
2. Wait a moment and I will give you my ally code. (Tell me what character do you want)
I really don't care. SOmeone who can hit the enemy fast and deadly I suppose? They can't fight you if they're dead after all.
