Right, speed mods wins. Get yourself +160 speed mods on all team and team composition will not be so important.
This is such a worthless comment, and people always say this as if you have any control at all over whether you get 20+ speed mods.
ofcourse you do, farm more mods. Ofcourse some players are more lucky than others, but it's not like you don't have any control over it whatsoever.
Most of the time i face a player who has a faster speed set than me, they also have more +10's and vice versa. Imo that's a better indication of how many modfarming someone has done since it's less dependent on RNG.
I’m still bitter about mods. I originally farmed only the purple and gold mods, and spent my refreshes on searching for the best high tier mods in the store I was rewarded with some of the best mods on my server. Then 6 dot mods come and everyone got to upgrade their mods and mine are already capped out. Outside of a temporary advantage while everyone else needed to accumulate extra slicing materials, I’ve fallen so far behind on mods.
That's a fair critisisme, but doesn't necessarily make what i said less true.
The original point was that we can’t control what mods we get and that it’s all luck. I’m just supporting that saying that I’ve spent a ton of resources into farming mods, and a combination of poor RNG and changes by CG that I couldn’t foresee have left me with subpar mods. It’s just extremely frustrating that such poor balancing there leaves us with this.
I don't know man, maybe you got unlucky, maybe you didn't. Having sold a bunch of prime slicable mods just prior to the mods 2.0 announcement (which was well in advance of the actual update iirc) sure sucks, it could even be the reason you have subpar mods by your own standards. Who knows
But generally speaking the players who invest more resources into mods end up having better mods. Even if you personally get exceptionally unlucky it still doensn't mean that it's all luck.
You won't hear me say that the amount of resources invested into mods always directly translates into the qualitiy of someones mods, but there's definately a correlation. Maybe my own bias is to blame, but every time i see someone calling it all luck i imidiate think that the one saying it is just using it as an excuse and just didn't farm alot of mods. Obviously that means i'm wrong about that atleast some of the time since even i believe you can get unlucky with mods, but it is what it is.
