My C team is really starting to shine in Galactic War and I'm starting to wonder if I should try to refine it for Squad Arena. They are fast with moderate to high damage and call lots of assists. They also land a fair amount of debuffs and are buffed themselves. Right now the 5th member of the squad is Old Daka, simply by chance; she provides an extra heal and chance for resurrection which is good for the march but I doubt I'll need it in Arena. What may be missed is her stun which Cassian tends to duplicate to great benefit.Missing sorely from the team is someone to remove taunts and someone to cleanse the party. Aside from those two issues the only other quality that I might want to consider is a second taunt. My ally code is 727-555-484 if you want to take a look at my small roster. So what do y'all think? Anyone running a Wiggs/K-ssian team? Who's the best 5th? Is there a better leader than Wedge for this team?Note: This is for a younger account (Lvl. 80 / Gear VIII - IX) so the meta is not an issue and zeta abilities are a long way off.

Some ideas I've had for the 5th slot are: Jyn seems like an easy answer and has both stun and resurrection which would resume a similar strategy. She's a slow farm and ability mat sink, however. Plus, I'm not sure how well she does at 4-Stars when she isn't in the lead. Phasma is another obvious choice with her leader ability able to stack with the other assists. Her turn manipulation abilities and Advantage would also lend well to this squad. I just wonder what sort of survivability the team will have without Wedge as leader. Sun Fac would do well as a second taunt and has a debuff which would address some of this team's shortcomings. Plus the squad would then have to countering and taunting tanks. The only cons here are that he is a major gear-sink for such a young account and that farming him conflicts with other priorities (Bounty Hunters and Ships). Pao seems like he could gain huge amounts of turn meter from all of the assists since almost every turn would be accompanied by an assist; plus K's counter adds to this during the enemy's turns. This seems like the only team Pao would thrive in but who knows it even this would be enough to make him Arena viable. Ackbar could provide the missing cleanse and maybe even an extra turn but seems a bit like a waste of a unit beyond that. Luke/Lando/Leia? I don't know; I have them. They are modded and geared and add a lot of firepower. Luke's negs complement K-ssian and begins to shine when paired with Wiggs. Lando's area attack helps the team when dealing with taunts they can't dispel. Leia's multi-attack adds to the many assists and her crit chance up to the whole squad isn't bad either. All good things but they only add to the team's pros without addressing any of the cons. Boba could Execute more often with Cassian's special abilities. Plus, he could ability block or remove taunts. And on top of all of that he has a double-attack and resurrects. The only downside is he doesn't benefit from the Wedge's leader ability. S. R. Pathfinder lays down the negs with every attack, taunts, grants bonuses upon death, and resurrects. He's just not great at any of these things mostly because his abilities call for more potency, tenacity, health, and speed than he's ever going to get. Kanan might be cool since he taunts and counters like K and he cleanses and grants protection. Plus his unique combined with Wedge's leader ability means he's almost always healing. Still, he's very new to the game and a huge mystery to me. Sabine and Zeb have some very cool negs that aren't found in Cassian's Shock Grenade which he could duplicate with his Crippling Shot. Zeb seems to complement K more while Sabine does better with Cassian. These four might be better under Hera than just Sabine or Zeb on the team I'm working on. Also, the mystery mentioned with Kanan afflicts these two as well. I guess what I'm saying is that I see a lot of possibilities but as I mentioned this is a young account with practically none of the mod challenges completed so it's kind of a risk to try and farm, gear, and mod a 5th unit just to see if it works. So if you have found something that works, or you can test some of these combos let me know what you think.

Rex as a leader would be good. Cleanse + TM gain on a crit.

Other good options:

Lando (huge AoE potential with Cassian and Wedge).
Jyn as a leader is good with Cassian.

Chirrut and Baze are also excellent candidates, but they work best in tandem and you won't be able to farm Baze for a while, or only in shipments for crystals.

Thanks! I'm farming Jyn, Dengar, and Zam from the Guild Store so Rex is a long way off.
Do you know how this team works with Jyn as lead instead of Wedge? Is she arena viable at 4-stars?
