Can any of those defend Wiggs? No? You aren't listening at all. Sure I'll settle for the idea that in theory there are a lot of ways to counter Wiggs, but what about defending? It doesn't matter if you can beat a Wiggs team now. Unless you can defend against them then you might as well not even try because they are just going to beat your team and it just furthers the cycle of dropping rank and then fighting to gain it all back.

You got it wrong kid. Wiggs and Rex both defend against droids and EP. Shoretrooper is probably going to be a good offensive tool for EP teams to beat faster Wiggs. (And droids if they still exist on your shard). On defense, droids can prolly be setup to beat you, if they get B2 to go first. But again, they are not going to be a problem, cuz droids are either extinct on your shard or soon will be.

If your shard doesn't have Rex, don't worry. Just give it time. When whale finds Rex, there's no going back.
Right now the whales on your shard are playing with Wiggs. Sorry if EP lead isn't defending that well. But get in line. Without Wiggs ohko, Rex is all alone at the top. Period. Anyways, droids can be setup to beat Wiggs, sometimes. They have a harder time with Rex. If droids are dead on your server, maybe that's another reason why Rex isn't around to play. But Rex plus whale = win. Just wait and see.

I will use Rex to defend. In about 6 months when I finish sharding him. In meantime F2P have choice of using Wiggs or having ass handed to them by Rex. Seriously, no other counter to Rex than go first and do a shit ton of damage. Maybe you can come up with a better strategy. Best tools in arena are speed and stun, and Rex counters both. The ohko is the only thing that makes Wiggs viable. You got a better idea, let the devs know. They are out of ideas. This is why we have this horse shit Wiggs meta... so that Rex isn't so obviously OP. They make Wiggs cantina farm, at least. And at least for awhile they will be good... until they make counters to Wiggs. They still can't figure out how to make a counter for the mess they created with Rex.

So.. the best they can come up with so far is make flavor of the month team so god awfully OP, it can compete with horseshit Rex. But in the process obliterate everything else. Then when people complain enough, make a new team to replace it. Thanks devs.

Plus Porkins is the login then gw character for November and will share Red squadron synergy and have taunt + retribution from Biggs Assist + health down.

It's gonna be awesome.

Nerf both? Jedi seemed to be nerfed out of the gate and only recently had more than QGJ arena viable. There is absolutely no basis for why Wiggs should be strong at all, and likewise, no reason Rex should have such a strong leader ability to everybody. Rex's leader ability should only apply to clones. JKA however should apply to Jedi and Clones because that's what he did. Rex did no ordering apart from Clones and he didn't command anybody else. His leader ability is unjust but making two toons who where minor characters in the grand scheme of the SW lore, crank out that much damage is just as unjust. Two wrong don't make a right and frankly they should start basing their toons creation on lore. Yoda, EP, Vader, Anakin, and Luke should all be the most powerful toons in the game but Anakin and EP are the only two in that list that are fit for Arena. There is absolutely no grounfair for any blaster user to be able to come close to oneshotting any saber user. I get that there needs to be a balance of powers but the devs seem to have forgotten that Jedi were arguably the most powerful beings in the Galaxy.

Better start hiding the bleach if that happens and they don't nerf Wiggs. That sounds exactly like what I predicted. The OP toons will only get more OP with the level increase.

Here is a fix for once you get shoretrooper....

Rex's leader ability should only apply to clones.

Even if Rex lead applies only to himself and no other toons, even clones, he is actually still good. 2 of his primary benefits are still there, which is you cannot ohko or stun toons in opening attack when Rex is on the team..... unless you got max Wiggs. And he still gives 30% TM to his team... plus bonus for dispells. I doubt he would be THE top dog anymore, but still useful. So in fact, clones-only is not a crazy nerf, at all.

I agree, completely. If they nerf Rex, go head and nerf Wiggs. But you can't just nerf Wiggs. Wiggs ohko for a reason. It's the only "counter" to Rex.

It's a shame Rex is still not in cantina node or arena or something. Rex is key toon in the meta and shouldn't be so exclusive for so long. This is probably better solution than to nerf rex and wiggs. Just make Rex available. And let it play out. No one like nerf, esp to Rex. I don't even have him, but he is so damn good a lot of people paid a lot of money for him and a lot of people have been hard farming him for months out of shipments for insane crystals. Making him available in cantina node might be easier for these whales to swallow without hissy fit.
