Will HK rework make droids shine?

I didn't play the old republic game but my brother did and he told me it would make more sense for hk47 to shine with Darth revan since he's a close ally or something in the old game

He doesn't play swgoh but has played both old republic games

ok,grevious leader-ability i don‘t know, because i don‘t have all separatist droids 7*.
hk-47 leadership is one of the best in the game in my eyes, but hk is slow and doesn‘t hit hard.
bb8 is my number one with his synergies.
speed boost at the beginning for each droid to 40% turnmeter for a full droid-team.
8% health and 8% protection for each droid (no matter lightside/darkside) when he evades an attack.
automatic taunting in a full droid team when he uses „convert data transfer“
illuminated destiny gives 20% also to doids.
T3-M4 has some good synergies, too.
b2 has only tm-boost for sa paratist droids. (because not for all droids?)
chopper helps a little with assist attacks
L3-37 helps with saves droids from the death.

summary: i don‘t see a droid team, that has a chance in the arena. grevious is will know in some mounths.

Yeah, I think anyone expecting his rework to improve the droid faction or take them a step closer to being a meta arena squad or anything is setting themselves up for major disappointment.

The smart money is on him either gaining a new unique ability or just adding a zeta to his existing one that gives him specific Old Republic or Darth Revan synergies. I mean, he'll have a zeta, and typically a zeta upgrade is a pretty good one, so it'll be good, but he's being reworked because of D.Revan, not the droids, so his rework will be to make him a more useful part of a DR team. That's it.

He might get some improvements in his overall kit to help with how painfully underpowered he is currently, but don't expect much more than that.

There is no doid meta on the horizon. I'm as big a droid fan as anyone, but the sad fact is, they've had their day in the sun already. The only thing I do actually worry about in terms of his rework is that he'll be so necessary for a Darth Revan squad that there won't be a suitable droid leader available for other droid teams in TW/GA because you won't want to put him with DR.

@Roopehunter hi roopehunter, was seeking half an hour, but my internet is slow...
it was in a dev post, where they wrote something like: „droids will not be meta... for now!“ sounds for me like soon coming rework or new heroes...
i was expecting grevious, but he isn‘t meta.

I'm thinking he'll have a synergy with Darth Revan similar to the one Chewbacca has with Han (assist on basic, heal upon attack, etc.).

C3PO doesn't need to give "droid" synergies. He gives very powerful ones to everyone. HK lead gives more to droids than most leaders give to anyone.

If you have HK bb8 C3PO you have the making of a really powerful GA b-team.

Droids already have a lot of in-game love. They are just not meta.

Could or should an HK Revan team be meta competitive. ? Yep, but not a droid team...
