They probably tested her with zealous ambition data disks and found out that she hit too hard in conquest as a support so they made her an attacker

If she hits like a wet noodle, so what? I couldn't care less about what tags CG gives the characters - I'm gonna mod and use them the way I want.
Idc if Talon hits like a wet noodle and I'm gonna mod her for speed + survivability and plug her into a SEE (offense + survival boost), Traya (survival boost) or DR (speed boost) team.
Maras 2nd special is crazy good for Palp - who cares if her dmg might be lackluster?

The last tank released who does not taunt from any mechanics in their own kit was JTR, and that was 4 years ago.

The last Support released who remotely, if not completely, does an Attacker's job of dealing high damage was Bastila Shan Fallen, and that was just over 3 years ago.

Notice something? CG has been moving further and further away from the non-appropriate role assignments, so much so that if we ignore Mara, Talon and Omega, the last instance of one such case was over 3 years ago. And yes, you can make the argument that Galactic Legends also fit this criteria because of SEE, his ultimate transformation turns him into an attacker AS WAS PROMISED, which means he stays true to everything CG said he would be.

Character's role tags not being appropriate to their functional role has only returned recently, and has only affected attackers so far. And this has been one of the only complaints I myself have voiced in a good while, as I am actively deterred from participating by people using fallacy arguments like your Ad Ignorantiam.

I repeat my earlier final words: Deception for the sake of benefit should not become a common practice. Selling characters as something they are not to get them hyped up and more people into spending is scummy.

Yeah, I did all the math for her trying to defend her, but at most she'll be dealing like 25k base damage at r8. If you mod her for pure offense (since her crit chance is aweful) she might get as high as 40k on each of her abilities pre-defense (well, her basic deals damage twice so it'd be two instances of 40k) after you factor resistance she'll probably deal in the 20-30k range at max stacks of loyal hand. She is a wet noodle.

That being said, she has a lot of good parts of her kit that are more focused on support aspects. She has amazing utility, but absolutely is not a high damage character. Look at Kyle. HE is a high damage character, and he means business. This is a strong support. Just say it how it is CG, come on.
