ZBarris

Other than healing immunity how do you counter barris's zeta on GK?

Anyone notice that Zarris heals toons who have RJT's healing immunity debuff on them?

Her regular heal bypasses healing immunity (as do all equalization heals). Her zeta heal doesn’t work.

Is that WAI, because RJT's healing immunity says that her Defiant Slash will "inflict healing immunity for 2 turns (this effect can't be Copied, Dispelled, or Resisted)."

Yes. As I said, all equalization heals bypass healing immunity. It has nothing to do with JTRey. The healing immunity isn’t being resisted, it just doesn’t stop this effect. This long predates the existence of JTRey.

You wrote "nobody outheals" your 52k health zbariss unless attacking her with crit immunity or being undergeared.

As several of us have already said, you are mistaken.

And to repeat, i would leave bariss for last. She was the hardest to kill, but with defense down and big hitters like wedge basic, han special, han basic, leia basic, cls special, it is no problem. Weaker hits of 15k ish like CLS basic amd biggs basic still take away her health.

Thanks, Liath. This was bugging me so this explanation is great.

Lets look at my post again, with emphasis.

Nobody out damages the heal of my 40k health (52k with GK lead) zarriss. Some single characters can hit that hard with specials, so it is theoretically possible with favorable RNG, ability to bypass kenobi taunt (fracture/CLS), but really it requires the crit immune buff on zarriss to out damage (read: prevent) the heal.

If you are running the exact team you mention "big hitters like wedge basic, han special, han basic, leia basic, cls special" I will destroy that team when they are defending. In fact, that team isn't likely to hold position very well in arena (on old shards at least).

But yes I acknowledged there are actually some characters that can out damage the heal, however:
    1) Nobody runs 5 attackers in arena of that strength. So really its 2 or 3 on a team max, then a support character is forced to attack GK and undo all the damage the attackers managed to do to GK (since he is taunting).
1a) Some of those you listed don't actually hit hard enough. I watch G12 hans regularly heal my GK. I haven't seen leia in arena in a long time, but her basic wouldn't do it either. The triple shot is great for damage overall generally, but three separate hits on GK or Zariss is overall a heal for them.
    2) Next R2 (R2 is on many GK/Zariss teams) then redirects all the damage somewhere else with his next smokescreen.
    3) And then if you manage to actually get GK low on health bariss heals.

All of that then leads to
    4) The strat for beating GK/Zariss is never "hit them harder". Its fracture GK and kill zariss while crit immune is up, or use DN annilihate, or plague, or JTR. So in theory you could beat a GK/Zariss team with heavy hitters, in practice it simply doesn't play out that way.

If you're strategy is to simply outdamage the heals, then you're inevitably gonna end up attacking kenobi, who is much tankier than barris. Most effective strategy is either annihilate with nihilus, generate an expose train with resistance, or fracture kenobi and whittle down Barris while she's protected by crit hit immunity

Running ewoks you need to be smart.

Let her have crit immunity, call paploo to assist where required to remove GKs taunt.

It's tough, but doable on offense, fight the urge to use wickets massive damage AOE as it will rebuff GK with taunt.

    Defense ewoks will never survive.

I would crush your Barris team.

Sure. I can put together a team that would crush my bariss team too. But it wouldn't be done by out damaging the heals. I mean I can beat your JTR team, or your NS team, or whatever team you would use to crush my bariss team with - not with my bariss team, but with another team (troopers vs NS, or whatever) - all teams are beatable. But going back to my point - sound advice to beat a bariss team is not "hit them harder".
