While I can't speak for Ricter, at the time of this thread no one had QGJ zeta yet. There was much hope due to all the hype that it would be very strong. However, since no one had it, we had to assume it was worth getting in order to justify even having this discussion (ignoring all others for now).
I think the opening claim was a bit strong if this were the goal, but the discussion was an important one to have if QGJ zeta would make a big difference. It's a good discussion (at least where the math and logical reasoning are), one I enjoyed.
So, thank you for pointing out that QGJ zeta isn't (from what one person can tell) as amazing as we all thought it would be. It helps solve the discussion (by way of circumventing it, yes). @Ricter I'm still going to edit in my math because this discussion will be relevant for anyone who reaches ships after this point, after there is a zeta that could change the meta.

I'm actually really interested in the answer here - I've been saving my fleet shipments and I'm going to spend them based on the result of the discussion because I wanted to have my strategy checked before I committed to it (I haven't dropped in fleet rank yet as an aside, but I don't think that proves much as a lot of people are just trying to figure out fleets yet).
