zJyn Lead team composition

Come on guys, I've been reading these forums for to long to know that some of you must have an opinion about this team composition! :smiley:

Furthermore, do you think that ATF could replace any of these toons?

Best bet would of course be chaze but you said you dont want to level Baze. Personally, I could see Raid Han or another damage dealer with Kanan. His kit is actually really good when put under the right lead. He applies offense down on counters, cleanses, prot up.

Thinking about it, probably better under CLS, but still an interesting proposal.

I was considering giving her the zeta however Chaze is fallen out of the meta, Chirrut isn't so great at 12. For arena zJyn, CLS (with binds zeta ideally), zzr2... You can try chaze but you aren't doing the dps you need really against the meta. Better is Zolo and zATF or Princess (no zeta needed). Jyn gives that extra protection heal and expose opportunity and can revive. All that said AI will play her aoe against CLS lead and that will cause this team to drop like a rock defensively. Even if you include zcass and zk2 it if still getting smacked around right now. I have Cholo at 7 and was thinking his zeta is somewhat interesting... Healing, dazing and reviving he can revive Jyn who always ends up dying. That is an interesting composition possibly.

I have a zJyn and I have not found her to be able to get to the top anymore. I would love to make it work, because she was a big investment, but have yet to find the secret comp. There just isn't much of a way to replace Chirrit and Baze, but at the same time, not much of a way to replace Cassian and K2 either... which leaves the team kinda low in terms of burst dps needed to get through tanks and at the other team's high dps toons.

I have a zeta Han Solo now, so maybe I can try something with Han and Fulcrum, but every time I try to take out either of those 2 duos, they get wrecked.

Problem is cls has a better lead without zeta and thrawn is better then jyn without zeta.

In the same boat as you with my alt account. Running a full R1 squad used to be easy mode top20 now having a rough time staying top50 with all the CLS/R2 teams (thanks remaining maul and nihilus teams). With R1 you need Cassian debuffs to get those exposes and anyone running CLS can just avoid Baze and K2 and take Cassian and Jyn out quickly. Not to mention zzR2 cleansing those exposes you do land so pretty much you spend the match slapping the other team damage wise.

In GW I have fun running Leia and Chopper under zJyn with Chaze or K2 + R2. Great survivability but only Leia hits hard so likely no good in Arena.

I don't have CLS on that account so no fighting fire with fire.

The composition I run that stays in the 20-40 range in arena is...

- Gear12 Zyn(l) working on getting her immune to stun zeta, with R2, CLS, Raid Han(except for his first move), and many other characters running stuns, it a good investment.

- Gear12 zCassian - The zeta is just to make them less squishy, his unique which grants tenacity up at the start of the round to tanks is also really good with the two tanks I use.

- Gear12 zzR2 - He can stun, inflict debuffs which trigger exposes, he can provide a cleanse on critical hits which Cassian and Jyn live off, he also has number crunch to make Jyn an Cassian less squishy, and has smokescreen to divide damage for my following 2 tanks.

- Gear11 Zeb - He dazes on basic (better than K2), his unique recovers so much protection and health, he is the (non zeta) savage opress of the rebels, his basic also stuns those dazed and exposed, so with Jyn, Zeb, and R2 you can stun lock teams easily. He can throw protection up, retribution, and tenacity up which comes in clutch. I have R2 go first on my team and throw smokescreen on him to take the first wave of damage.

Gear10 zOld Ben - Amazing under Jyn, his mind trick lowers TM, throws 2 debuffs which can trigger two exposes on every character, and his taunt with the zeta is amazing, he takes the 2nd and third wave of attacks after Zeb, so I alternate damage between the 2 tanks using smokescreen and taunt.

I just geared my Old Ben to gear 10 yesterday, but once my Old Ben gears up to 11 and 12 and Jyn has her immune to stun Zeta I'm pretty sure I will be in top 20 easy, I find myself losing my Old Ben too fast sometimes due to having low gear(low protection) and not tanking more hits because of it, and because Zyn gets stunned at clutch moments.

I'm also in a Jan 2016 shard.

Jyn's lead exposes so all my character's take advantage of that.

PS. My team find G12 teams with massive protection and health boost easy as I DPS through health percentage.

They hold ok on defense, only falling 20 spots, but again I'm still missing gear levels and a zeta.

Also, against the triple/double cleanse just stun lock the cleansers or TM remove them, Triple cleanse teams are the are the hardest to beat but not impossible. It takes a while to learn how to play with this team but it makes it that much more fun.

My goal over the coming month is to move to Jyn lead as well. The team I want:

Jyn
Kylo Ren
Chirrut
Han Solo
Baze

Han can inflict expose with his opening stun. And a gear 12 Baze recovering 5% protection is a pretty big deal. Jyn can gain (as well as distribute) advantage, which allows Kylo to give out turn meter with his AoE.

I don't have the zeta yet. And I need to gear Jyn and Han a little more. But hoping this team works as well as it looks on paper.

I've run many fights to test the compos you guys gave me, and I came to these conclusions:

There are much better choices than Chirrut alone, without Baze. Concerning Raid Han, he's an amazing toon, but he doesn't benefits/gives enough of the Jyn's lead. CHan, imho, is very good in TB but is not an arena character. Chopper has a nice kit, with a good synergy concerning the protection recovery, but he really only shines in a phoenix squad where he can share it's unique buff.

With a zJyn lead, OB is indeed a beast.Thanks to the 35% potency he deals TONS of debuffs => tons of exposes. When he dies he gives TONS of buffs => tons of %protection + 50%health/protec. He is not so fast but he also gains 5% tm each time a rebel is attacked, so he's not so slow either. So:
zJyn
OB
R2 is still mandatory, without its stealth CLS can easily bypass taunt and destroy zJyn.
For the 4th role, I hesitate between CLS, Leia, whose zeta synergises well with zJyn lead's and who benefits greatly of the stealth to remain out of harm, and with ATF. I have yet to 7* her and see how it works out, if she can duplicate enough buffs to hit hard enough
For the 5th role, I might use a DPS support, eg Cassian when the ennemy team does not have 2 or 3 cleansers, or a tank support, such as Zeb or Kanan.

Anyway, trying to build a team outside the meta (even though still rebel :D ) is not that simple so thank you for the help, it's really appreciated. And any idea/constructive criticism is still welcomed! :)

Oww I never thought about zJyn and OB. I am going to give it a try.
