Hello,

Can you please have your team look into the Matchmaking aspect of the game, for the Squad and Fleet Arena areas of the game. I know I am not the only one to feel this way, as a lot of others within the guild I’m in, express this same feeling.. As we’ve spoken and expressed our frustrations in the Guild Chat.

The matchmaking is actually so far to the point that it’s unfair and it stacks teams up against you (regardless of how many times you Sim/Refresh the opponent’s teams) to an unfair degree that almost guarantees that you CANNOT win.

And you have to literally try to run the timer down and take a “DRAW”.

I will give you an example of what I’m referring to.. My Squad Arena Team is around 125k. I Sim/Refresh the available opponents, countless times and it continually pits me against teams that have “sky high” power levels above me. As much as 181k.

The matchmaking system SHOULD be a lot more grounded and fair, to the point that it match-makes you against other players/teams that are either your power level, a lower power level than you or based on your team’s overall stats.

This way, EVERYONE can enjoy the Arena modes. As right now, the matchmaking in the Squad & Fleet Arena modes are making said modes the worst aspect of the game, BY FAR.

I have also included 3 screenshots showing the constant matchmaking results I receive. This is ALWAYS present during my Arena Sims. And the Fleet Arena mode is no different.

Please tell or explain to me, exactly how on Earth I am supposed to beat teams like this?! This is the prime and key reason as to why I absolutely hate and despise these Arena/“PvP” modes.

And I can assure you that I will not be the only player, in this position.

Thank you.

As frustrating as this may seem, Unfortunately this is actually beyond the devs to fix.

Squad and fleet arena are not one pool with all the people of the game. When you unlock the arena you are put into a "Shard" with other accounts. You cannot leave whatever shard you are put in, so If you had taken a break from the game you are unfortunately stuck here. As the people you are being matched up with are real people, They most likely set their best team on defense to drop as little as possible, and there is little CG can do to change it because the goal of these game modes are to have as high of a rank as you can.

As for "Cannot Win", That is a different story. the Team Power rating has nothing to do with how strong or effective your team is, And is mostly a cosmetic number unless you are coordinating with your Guild in Territory Wars so paper teams don't get placed on defense. What matters more is the units on your team. For instance, the "Grim Reaper" player you see in all three screenshots (Which is because that player is the highest you can increase rank in one attack) has a Galactic Legend. If you do not have a Galactic Legend and their proper team you should not expect to win the match, And even then there are GLs that would lose against other GLs (For instance, Supreme Leader Kylo Ren would most likely lose against Reaper's Jedi Master Luke)  For other matchups, It is a lot like an advanced game of rock / paper / scissors. Some teams can walk over a team while others get shut down. For Example, if you are running a team like "Zach Bostater"'s Jedi, It would not be a good idea to attempt to beat "ZockEnderLP"'s Sith Empire team, As that Sith Empire team is meant to beat (non-GL) Jedi teams. Unfortunately without Galactic Legends (Which it appears you do not have) There is no universal team that truly beats everything, esp. if you are trying to beat Galactic Legends without one yourself.

When building teams, Try to make teams that fit together well, and usually the best teams almost always involve the journey guide in some way. If you need a team recommendation, I would recommend Commander Luke Skywalker (Lead, Journey Guide), Han Solo (Raid Currency), Chewbacca (Journey Guide), C3P0 (Journey Guide), And Threepio & Chewie (Light Side 7-A (Hard)), as that is an excellent team to help you until you obtain stronger teams such as Galactic Legends.

This is the way those arenas work. It is not a bug. There is no matchmaking. You simply cycle through the players that are near your rank. If you have climbed to a point where everyone had better squads and fleets than you, you need to improve your roster. Power level is irrelevant. You can look up some guides on YouTube to help you decide which teams to chase.

Once you unlock Grand Arena Championships, that will be the primary PvP game mode where you earn crystals. There you will be matched on "Skill Rating," which is essentially people with the same win/loss ratio as you. I am earning you now though, that game mode may be extremely frustrating at first, because it's currently set up to allow peoplr who don't participate to fall all the way down the ladder. So you may face people with rosters far larger than yours.
