I am sorry to hear that you lost that amount of Points.
The Issue with the “disappearing buttons“ is already known by the studio. The problem is that they need further investigation to understand what has caused this Issue, therefore they have implanted something that helps them to detect the exact problem and then release a second update for the fixes.
I don’t know if there will be a compensation, but as this problem has cost multiple players Points I could imagine that there will be a compensation for all players.
