So apperently Bastillas lead seems still bugged, as the tenacity up she gives to jedis with protecion up is not working.

I fought a palp team 4 times today and on ALL battles Vaders force crush landet several debuffs on my jedis on his opening move.

And nowhere in the description of Vaders ability it says can't be resisted. Needles to say that I wasted all my attempts due to that nonsense (including a crystal refresh)

  • Hi @CorvusGER and thank you for the report.

    We've confirmed that Bastila's leader ability is working as intended and yes, Vader's "Force Crush" can be resisted.

    Hmm ok then how can Vader apply his debuff through 150% tenacity? In 4 Battles in a row? With 150% Tenacity it should be literally impossible to land debuffs at all.

    I am going to quite crzydroid here: Tenacity of Defender - Potency of Attacker = Chance to resist negative effect, with the caveat that this chance can never drop below 15%.

    Thx for the clearification, found that old thread a few minutes ago. It is still unlikely but I guess I had a terribly run then :/. I checked all values and my toons would still have a chance to resist above 50% (based on that formular). I was just shocked by the consitency those debufs landed. This can be closed now I think 🙂
  • Bastilla lead still bugged though. When fighting a Palpatine, the characters do not experience damage from Palp’s unique until extra protection is gone. This makes Bastilla squads obviously imbalanced as a meta. Please correct.

  • Don't forget that EP Lead bumps Vader's potency by 35%. Not sure if you calculated that in to your 50% resist chance.

    Ok then explain to me how I did 20 battles in the last two days and never once saw Vader get his AOE off on the first wave.  I also won every battle and never lost a single toon. Then today post update I lose my first two battles and of the three i won I lost two of my characters in two of the battles.  These same opponents couldn't touch me yesterday but today is a different story.  So bad luck - maybe.  But can you explain why I did 1.6 million in sith raid part 1 yesterday but only got 700K today as well.  I tell you something is not working with Bastila the same as it did yesterday.

    @deutscherfreund

    Palp's bonus damage to Jedi is 20% of max health, and Bastila's protection up is 200% max health. So if a Jedi takes a turn, the bonus damage is equal to 1/10th of just the purple part.

  • @crzydroid

    I totally get what the mechanic should be. Your analysis isn't 100% correct though, it assumes that health and protection should be the same. But I digress.

    Just the other day, I played a Bastilla squad and Ezra still had protection after at least 4 turns. Ezra should have his protection eroded after only a short while because he has both a rebel and jedi tag. It could be that Yoda repopulated that protection up through Meditation, but that's 30%, eventually Ezra would run out (plus 30 but minus 40 percent each round if Yoda's speed was that high).

    One final question though, is the protection up from Bastilla based on Bastilla's protection, or the individual character receiving the bonus?

    For Ezra, after 4 turns, he would take damage equal to 160% of his max health. The Protection Up buff adds protection based on a percentage of the character's max health, not protection. You can look at the mechanics for any protection up character on swgoh.gg (I think the reasoning behind this is so you can still give the buff to units with no protection). Since Bastila adds 200% max health bonus protection, Ezra would still have 40% left after 4 turns. If he had the 30% from Yoda as well, that means the purple part wouldn't be gone until after 6 turns. If Yoda went again during that time, it would add another turn.

    That kind of answers your second question as well: It's based off of an individual character's own stats, not Bastila's...but the stat is actually max health, not protection.
