Hi, @Trajector and @ChristophIV.

A ships power (Total power in the ship details screen) is the combination of Crew Power and Ship Power. The details of those two can be found under a ship's stats.

Therefore, as @ChristophIV said, the crew members gear level, zeta's etc. are influencing the total power of a ship. This appears to be working as intended.

I would like to escalate this to your team lead then please for a second opinion.

Reason for escalation: you continue to explain why this "behavior" (which I think a bug, you think it is not) occurs, but I cannot understand why ship power should be used as a measure of ship's crew, when the its only conceivable purpose is to compare if one ship is more powerful than another.

I'm not sure EA work weekends. If you want further opinions can I recommend you post this to the official forums, where I'm sure the vast majority of the player base will tell you the same thing.

I think your extra GP comes from the zeta you have on Thrawn's Ebb and Flow. I guess your opponent doesn't have the zeta, and maybe has an extra piece of g12 equipment. Or his Thrawn is poorer equipped but his Chimaera is 6* vs your 5*. To see how a crew member contributes to ship stats, click the button showing a graph. Crew contributions are in blue brackets.

To give a further example, my 7* Chimaera has 43076 power. It's max GP is 55320. To achieve this I need two zetas on Thrawn, and three pieces of G12+ equipment, so as you can see, crew completion plays a big part in maxing a ship.

My advice is not to get too hung up on the "Power" figure, it's not a fair representation of whether one ship/character is better than another. Clone Wars Chewie can reach higher GP than Chirrut for example.

2. "If you want further opinions can I recommend you post this to the official forums" - I thought this was the official bug reporting forum, if not and you can give a link - I would be grateful.
3. "I think your extra GP comes from the zeta you have on Thrawn's Ebb and Flow." - possibly, however see my answers above, I am not interested in why this bug came about, I just want EA to fix it (although your speculation may be useful for EA officials to fix the bug).
To put it in other words, Thrawn's zeta is not beneficial to Chimaera in any way other than Thrawn's power trickling into Chimaera's power, however clearly the trickle process is broken, as from my comparison above you can see that my speed and damage are all below the other Chimaera. This is precisely a bug report to adress this issue, not to dwell on it as you seem to be attempting to.
4. ""Power" figure, it's not a fair representation of whether one ship/character is better than another" - I could not agree more, this is precisely why this bug came about. Can you give me one good reason it cannot be a "fair representation"? That is a question to EA by the way.

    Hi HighCommander, thanks for your response.
    If it is working as intended, the next 2 questions are:
    1. Can you expand on what the intention of this measure is?
    Is the intention here to show some theoretical measure to the end user to say that my crew happens to be stronger than the opponent's crew, even though crew has no influence on ship battles? In this case, what is the practical intention for such a measure to be shown to end users? E.g. is it helpful in any decision making process for end users?
    Or is it a practical way for a player to see that the opponent's ship is more powerful, and so it might help to influence their decision to skip this opponent in favour of one with smaller ship power?
    2. If there is no practical purpose of this measure, is there a desire of EA to make an alternative measure/improve this measure that would actually have a practical use for end users, assisting them in their decision-making process?
