Conquest Glitch

The current Conquest event has developed a glitch making the enemy squad essentially immortal. There are two serious issues. Currently I am in stage 3 of the event and in the third fight. In the second fight against Pirated, I was unable to defeat the pirates with a Relic 7 SLKR team. The Pirates were all at about 2 red bars but would not fall no matter what attack was used. Time ran out and I returned with a Relic 9 SEE squad. The same thing occurred until SEE reached his ultimate, which destroyed four of the Pirates, the last falling easily. In the next battle, though, using SEE at the outset, not only were the opposing Phoenix squad all reduced to two red pips, but they were all Stunned and could not attack. This time, however, SEE’s cooldown count would not advance above 4%, no matter what he did. Thermite bombs flashed, AOC attacks crashed, the Phoenix characters stood in stunned agony and could do nothing, but they would not fall.

it is also worth mentioning that there have been several cases where individual toons exhibited similar near-invulnerability, lasting improbably when fully stunned and assaulted by all five of my squad. Enfy was one and Bobba Fett was another, but both eventually succumbed to attacks a few seconds before the round timed out, so I assumed it was some sort of game shenanigans.  Now I’m beginning to believe your damage assessment algorithms are buggy. This problem has begun to pop up at different points of the gameplay and seems more indicative of programming errors than of your more usual game design to ‘encourage’ us to pay more to advance.

If you are going to continue your rather blatant efforts to force us to pay you more, at least provide competent management of the game’s systems.

Are you sure you removed it? There’s a confirmation window and an associated cost of 7 energy. Many dismiss that window without processing what it says.

  • The training droid disc says that the enemy goes Tenacity down at first but can’t be reduced below 1% until the leader falls unless an annihilate attack is used. Fine: I dismounted the droid disc and tried again, High relic CLS squad vs Mandalorian. The Mando leader Bo-Katan was quickly taken down to 2% or so but would not go below that. In short order I reduced most of the Mando squad to 2% or so and Stunned 4 of them, including Bo. None of them would go down, and this was with no droid card mounted.

Given the write-up of the droid card, if it’s active, the enemy’s Tenacity is down but the squad won’t fall until the leader toon is out. Fine. But if she can’t be taken below 2%, then nothing goes down. If removing the card has no effect, then the programming is buggy. QED.

    Remove. The. Training. Droids. Disk.

    Hopefully you can follow that.

  • Pay attention yourself. The glitch is pervasive and is experienced by many players. Teams I have easily defeated with lower-modded squads won’t fall to my strongest. Encounters I defeated easily earlier on now become impossibly hard. The issue has floated among various individual toons that suddenly become impossible to kill, such as when any team containing Nest that was put against Traya in the Sith Academy event would result in Traya and Nest trading endless strikes with neither being able to prevail. The type of problem has popped up with various toons at various times over the course of the last couple of years as the encounters got more complex. This time it popped up as effecting whole squads in the Conquest Event. The algorithm system used to calculate damage versus probability of counter to damage has clearly developed some sort of instability. Sometimes a toon with an annihilate capability can break the bug because it’s probability of hit is near absolute, but sometimes even that won’t work.

The facts that so many people are reporting this issue and that it pops up in so many different aspects of the game suggests a deep-rooted coding issue, likely one that will take time to root out. It also appears to be getting worse, at least in the current state. The Conquest event has essentially become unplayable because of it, as reported to me by other members of my Guild after I mentioned it in Chat.

I may or may not be as adept as your august self in setting mods, but this particular issue is systemic, not tactical.

  • Come on - there’s been dozens of threads about this. The only incompetence here is your attention to detail when equipping data disks.

Remove the training droids disk. Job done.
