This forum is for the collection of information and identification of in-game bugs. The schedule with which the developers decide to deploy events in-game is entirely person-based, and not an in-game bug, so you should direct your questions on the regular SWGOH forums:
https://forums.galaxy-of-heroes.starwars.ea.com/I don't remember ever seeing an announcement or promise from the Devs that the Defense or Ghosts events would run two days per month. I did a quick review of the Events Calendars back to May of 2018:
Ghosts has actually been running one day per month since November last year.
Last May, Defense of Dathomir only had one day scheduled instead of two, so there's precedent for a single-day event.
While it's unusual to have a 1-day event, it doesn't necessarily point to a consistent reduction for the future. The Devs schedule events as they want to, and unless they have made a community-forward promise (such as with the Character Release Cadence), we are at their "mercy" for event cadences.
