Great news! The lastest on this shares that Android users should now be able to get back into the game. 😄
I'll close this thread out here but if something changes, please complete these steps: "Android troubleshooting for EA Mobile Games" and if the issue persists, please make a Bug Report in the Bug Report section.

Unable to download assets error.
Tried restart device. Closed app and reopened. Multiple WiFi connections.
How do I fix this?
Same for me - says I don't have an internet connection whether on wifi, cellular, and even when I tried in Bluestacks.
I’m having the same problem. Mine hangs up on “checking for updates” on the title screen. iPhone 15. I’ll submit a ticket through my old phone later.
For more detail: the issue persists on both WiFi and 5G. Other devices and apps work fine on my WiFi. Other apps and functions on my phone work fine on 5G. I’ve deleted and reinstalled SWGOH three times. I’m able to log in to my SWGOH account on my old device.
