Executor objectively worse when fully maxed.

Having the ability "We Only Need To Keep Them From Escaping" at L7 or L8 puts you at a severe disadvantage compared to players who were fortunate enough to learn from the mistakes of early adopters who maxed this ability and instead kept it at L6, therefore not forcing Bounty Hunter allies to taunt when healing.

I can only assume this is a bug rather than a design feature, since there is no logical reason that you would want any ship other than your tank taunting.

Solution 1: Roll back this ability for all players, refunding the materials spent on the ability.
Solution 2: Remove the taunt from the ability, leaving only the heal and foresight when maxed.

The way it is now, you've created a situation similar to "Paper Zombie" where it isn't beneficial to the player to fully upgrade a unit, which by your own admission is against the spirit of the game.

There's also the bug where inflicting Breach on an enemy isn't cleansing debuffs from your own units, which continues to make mirror matches where you lose the coin flip at the start of the battle basically unrecoverable if you have the above ability maxed. Worse still, this only impacts the player units, while AI units are able to cleanse on Breach as normal.

    Since the ability is exactly working as described ("If the target ally is a Bounty Hunter, they gain Foresight and Taunt for 2 turns" added at Tier 7) we don't consider this a bug.   • @Trouserdeagle A tweak to Solution 2 could be to only apply the taunt if the target ship is a tank. Either way would be great though.

    I was considering opening a ticket to ask for a refund on the skill to bring this up, and someone pointed me to this. I'm going to spread it.
  • I am experiencing the same thing. When I upgraded from 5 star Executor to 7 star my opponents 4-5 star Executors are running circles around me getting a 2 to one shot ratio from their Razor Crest and Xanadu Blood. Darth Merek reported it today and they hid it in the archive rather than moving it here. Below is his analysis which I am experiencing too after my ship upgrade to 7 star.I wish I had not spent the cash on crystals since my Executor worked correctly at  lower stars and now at 7 star when attacking leesor star Executors and lessor relic Razor Crests, Hounds tooth and Xanadu it is super slow motion. Below is Darth Mereks post.

    So I have a maxed out Executor along with relic 7 Bossk, Beskar Mando, and Cad Bane plus there ships of course are maxed out and when I challenge another maxed out Executor that only has a relic 6 Bossk and relic 5 Ban an Mando which makes them way slower then my ships but the problem is that when my opponent or ai opens up with the executors aoe assist special hey w is it that there RC is landing a mark debuff when everytime I've used it, it never lands a mark. That's not all, there's a lot more wrong going on like my Hounds tooth not gaining any TM when my other ships are being hit kinda like when my opponent opens up with that aoe assist my HT doesn't gain any TM but my opponent is and the last thing is like I said that my ships are faster then my opponents but yet there out running me like crazy and here's an example as my opponents RC use's his special attack on my RC that has 50percent TM keep that in mind and my opponents RC calls XanBlood for assist but after that attack is done with I noticed that my opponents RC has 75percent TM which means that his relic5 Mando RC will go twice before my relic7 Mando RC in which case kills my RC. Now explain that or better yet fix it and another thing how about when a challenger starts a ship battle and there equal in speed and everything else that the challenger that's actually playing go 1st, not the dam ai especially when frustrating and cheating krap like this is going on. Look in to it and Fix it

    Can we do as Marcumzilla suggested? This recent upgrade is far from ideal

  • Not quite sure who marked @EA_HighCommand comment as an "Accepted Solution", it's certainly not acceptable to actual players of the game!

    CG have said before that it should NOT be beneficial for Abilities or toons to be at a lower level than maxed and be performing better - this is an exact case of that!

    More people who are getting Executor to 7-star after the first release day are deliberately keeping that ability at less than maximum because they have learned from first day 7-star owners that it's more beneficial to NOT have the Taunt application part of the ability.

    So not only is it clearly an ability which is working contrary to CG's intention for Maxed to be better than Not Maxed, but it is also detrimentally affecting those players who funded the game by acquiring Executor at 7-star early on.

    It is NOT an acceptable solution to say it's "doing what the ability says" and thus is fine!

    The actual Acceptable Solution would be to amend the Level 7 ability text to say:

    "...and if they are also a Tank, or no allied Tanks are present, they gain Taunt for 2 turns"

    No, this is a bug, clearly upgrading an ability shouldn't make your ship objectively worse. How do I get this ability downgraded? I don't even need the mats back, if I can just get it downgraded so that I can win mirror matches, after spending tens of thousands of crystals to max out my Executor.
