Game and Web Store both hang/fail on login

Summarize your bug I cannot log into the game from either my iPhone or my iPad. I’ve rebooted the iPad, and it didn’t help. The game hangs indefinitely on the loading screen, and the progress indicator says “Checking for Updates”. When I try to access the web store, it hangs for about 30 seconds, then displays an error message like this one: An error occurred while processing your request. Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? In my case, log in. But others in my guild say everything is working for them, so it may be isolated to my account. Please help!!
