Game crashes after update

I can see that there are dozens of people experiencing the same issue, but this is insane. The game is not playable in this state. It randomly crashes because of the update. This issue was immediately noticeable when the game wouldn't launch after the update.

The offer popups in game are annoying and add to the crashes.
