Game freezing

In the past week, the game has frozen on me twice during an AAT raid, once in arena, and twice in GAC (causing me to lose 2 GA rounds and probably kyber). That's on multiple devices in ONE WEEK. I went into chat and they offered me 100 crystals. That's ridiculous. Then just now I had ANOTHER GA match freeze. This bug is taking a lot of my enjoyment out of this game. It has cost me the equivalent of at least 200-300 crystals worth of rewards just in the last week, not to mention my time and frustration.
Has been happening to me for a long time on my Samsung Galaxy Note 8. Contacted them, they told me to clear ram, reinstall game, basic troubleshoot steps. But it was a brand new model, still quite good!! My brother's much weaker phone never freezes, so it must be something else, not the device.
