GP threshold for Div 2 GAC

What type of issue do you have? Gameplay
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Summarize your bug Preparing for GAC...dropped my GP bellow 4.5M threshold for Division 2. Still showing I will be placed in division 1. How far below threshold do I need to be?
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Roster was higher than 4.5gp. Dropped mods on weaker characters to get roster below 4.5gp. Have not locked the event...9 hours to go. Would really like to reach Kyber level in Div.2 before being obliterated in Div.1...

    @Kamm2K Hi, thanks for the report!

    Your division is set when the championship season first launches. If you had wanted to be in Div2, you would have needed to be below 4.5M when it launched yesterday. At this point your division can't change for this season.

    What is the point of the “Player Lock” then?  Would be a better control for players if this was the threshold control - similar to territory wars. So watch for announcement of feat events and scramble my roster then?  Is it 24 hours from announcement to event start?

    @Kamm2K "Player lock" impacts the configuration in which your units will exist for the next Grand Arena event. (Side note, now player lock happens when you click join - the timer is for matchmaking).

    Divisions are assigned for a whole season. The start of a season is announced in the monthly calendar, so if your division assignment is important to you, then you'll need to review the schedule and have your GP set in advance of the launch. After that you can make changes and your Division will remain set. Hope this helps!

    Could also be your gp on your profile screen is over 4.5m due to the go bug, happened to me last GAC and then my 4.4m gp team faced constant teams of 5.5-5.9m gp, was not fun

    @mrsjroney No, the inflated stats issue did not impact GA or TW matchmaking. At this point the stats page has been changed to reflect current stats, but even inflated it had no impact in division assignments.

    It did for me last gac, i was 4.4m when i joined on inventory screen, but profile had 4.7 and it stuck me in div1.

    and I didn’t intentionally reduce my gp vmbefore hand either

    @mrsjroney And it didn’t for my friend who was 0.3M below the div2 threshold on the last GAC. He was going t be really annoyed if the inflated bug had pushed him into Div2, but it didn’t.

    EA support here has confirmed that the numbers on the stats page were not used for any matchmaking criteria.
