Gungans and protection disruption

I posted this in the in-game chat but the random response they sent back was completely unrelated and didn't help a thing so figured I'd ask here if this is WAI. 
See attached photo, final lines in text box, "If there is an active shield generator, Gungan Allies are immune to protection disruption."
Obviously one is afflicted with protection disruption in the photo, and the generator is up.
