That's part of the issue. I can't go ingame and to do so I don't want to risk creating a new account and permanently losing the old one. I could swear the same issue happened over a year back and I came back one day after leaving the game for 6 months to find my old account back.

They told me it was linked to an old game center account but I never had one before today. When I look at my apple ID and settings now, there's only one game center account, and it's the one I accidentally created today that made me lose access to my account.
Honestly don't know what to do.
