Lagging making game unplayable

The lagging and choppy play since the update is simply making the game unplayable. I've lost every GAC match since because of timing out so many battles that should normally be wins. Every fleet arena mirror with what should be a 100% winning team is a race vs the clock now. There are some teams that are fully unbeatable for me now because the normal battles would take 4+ minutes to win typically, and I'm lucky to get half the turns now because of freezing and lagging.

If this doesn't get fixed relatively soon, will probably retire for good. It's not fun playing a game with losing half the battles being baked into the outcome because the gameplay isn't capable of accommodating winning.
