The swgoh game loads but can not read data from Google play. Swgoh forces me to start as a brand new player. Google play data shows up on other games though so wondering if it is an EA connectivity issue?

Same issue here. I have lost count of the number of times I have cleared cache and restarted my phone. This is ridiculous and help has been useless.
