Music from background apps no longer plays while in game after update

After the 7/31 update music from spotify/itunes/other sources doesn't play from my phone even with the in-game sound totally off. Please fix this I can't handle the silence. This is my happy time to ...

Apparently they don’t care  about it, leaving us hanging for a week like this. I’m strongly considering deleting the game after 8 years of playing it because of this problem still not being fixed
