After the 7/31 update music from spotify/itunes/other sources doesn't play from my phone even with the in-game sound totally off. Please fix this I can't handle the silence. This is my happy time to play game and enjoy music, not sad hour of deep thinking.

Nothing like playing repetitive daily events and bull crap no or low drops farming a toon daily to the sound of silence because this is the only game that blocks any other source of music to play at the same time. So much fun working out to dead silence in the morning because I need to farm all my tasks. Fix this. It’s not hard.

Another update and it’s still not working. When can we expect a fix?

The tracker states the fix has been ready to deploy for a long time now. As others have pointed out, there’s been several updates released yet this fix hasn’t been included in any of them despite the “ready” status. Please release the fix asap as this issue is continuing to negatively impact gameplay for a lot of the community. Thank you.

Two months later… no solution

EA_Gunner it’s been 2 months. Ready for release for many weeks. How little does CG care about its paying customers? At some point the lack of urgency is lack of care.

Another update and this is now even more broken. This bug (if its not the same one its very very similar) now causes the game to crash in iOS - seriously? The workaround is to re-install the game, not change the audio settings of the game, and not listen to audio sources on your phone because if you play them you have to re-install the game. WTF.

Is there some way of bombarding the devs with complaints of this issue in order to receive enough attention to force them to fix this problem? Apparently they have ignored this discussion for 2 months.

What if we all start changing our user names to “Bring Back My Music CG” and tell our guildmates to do the same? It would be disruptive and maybe create enough attention for CG to actually do something

Respectfully is there any further information to share on this issue and or progress?
The problem: SWGOH pauses any music source playing on, at least, iOS (not just pip) after loading in. It's incredibly disappointing, the player base generally wants to listen to other audio sources instead of the in-game music and sounds while also enjoying SWGOH.
The economic impact: This is the type of bug that long-time players annoyed about other things will quit over.

Further Criticism: This has not been implemented and it's been ready to go since 8/21.There have been 3 updates since 8/28/24.

Since this issue started I’ve been unable to spend a single dollar on this game. It’s almost like those issues might be directly related.
