This is an issue that I ran into today (July 31st 2024) where now when I have the game open my music will no longer play. It will be paused as soon as I tap on the app icon on my Home Screen. It pauses both Apple Music and Spotify. As someone who listens to music 24/7 and loves certain songs while I do gac I would love for whatever was implemented that made this happen to please go away. Thank you
I have the same issue. My audiobook player, radio app and YouTube app all crash when the game launch screen shows. If I leave the game to restart an app, SWGOH reboots as soon as I reopen it.
I have the same problem. I disabled music and audio effects of the game and still stop music
Came here to report this. I can deal with bugs but not this.
I'm in the same boat. I always listen to music, podcasts, youtube, etc. while playing swgoh. The latest update must be preventing background apps from playing audio. PLEASE reverse this change as it really negatively impacts playability
Same issue here too. I’m on iOS.
This is extremely annoying in an on/off game like Swgoh. And this feature/bug has happened before, at least 2 times.

+1 please fix this - always listen to music while catching up on my mobile games and sucks that swgoh stops with no workaround. Note: have audio & SFX turned off and still can’t play my own music. iPhone/iOS

Is there any update you can provide on the status of this issue? Grinding through hours of territory battle missions, raid attempts and conquest the last few days w/o being able to listen to music/podcasts/etc like I have always done for the last 2 years is really starting to make the game a pain to play
