Profundity Event Bug

What type of issue do you have? Missing Rewards
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Summarize your bug Profundity event. All tiers except bonus tier work normally. Completing bonus tier successfully ends the battle with the message: "You do not have enough galactic challenge tickets to attempt this battle." And you receive no shards for the event. There are only a couple of possibilities here. 1) Prerequisites are not correctly defined for the event as there are no requirements listed for "Galactic Challenge Tickets" and no way that I am aware of to obtain these as they do not appear to exist in-game. 2) Straight up bug. Probably the most likely scenario as the only mention of "galactic challenge tickets" I can find on the internet are 100% related to similar bugs in swgoh.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I would guess you need an account that does not have profundity and then activate profundity and then do the bonus mission? That's what I did. Also see this for proof that this happens: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QLlatZHiP_8

  • @oprubninja777 This sounds like a game out of sync with the server. The server sees you completed the event, but your game missed it.

    If you restart your game, it should let you refresh and continue earning shards.

    Ah, good to know. Still a bug, but at least if there's a workaround. Still completely unacceptable that at the very least there is not an accurate error message. That is just some cut n' paste coding right there. It's a real waste of time for those effected and no reasonable way to make it up as the event just runs for 24 hours a month. Waiting days for a response is just not acceptable either. 

    To be clear, I am not 100% confident this is the answer. All I know is that it is a bug and prevented me from making any progress beyond the initial unlock. If it is the answer, then what is being done to verify and resolve this? It impacts gameplay moving forward because of the scarcity of the event. Since this is not a verified solution, I can't just wait until next month to see if the theoretical fix works. If the same thing happens again then I have wasted two months on this event. So we still need an RCA from support/dev and a resolution (verified workaround or code fix).

    This happened to me today for the Executor event.   Is the bug being fixed?
