Re: Darth Malak took unreduced health percent damage

I've been trying to test this in GW to see if I noticed anything fishy. I've been able to test my Rex against opponent Kylos, and both seem to take the reduced damage.

I also just found a team with Rex and two other clones, so I threw in my Malak. After several turns by each of the three clones, Rex did Aerial advantage and the bonus damage was only 14k. So it doesn't seem like there's an obvious problem there.

If you encounter this again, you can try and take a video or otherwise track the turns and see what is going on, but I wonder if it was just a case of the clones taking a lot of turns.

  • Ok, now I understand that every aerial advantage's bonus damage is based on every turn that the clones took from the start of the encounter, not from the previous use. That might explain it.

Also the fact that health percent damage doesn't care about either characters gear makes it even more believeable.

Still, there were just 2 clones present and it wasn't such a long battle. I wonder how many turns they need to get that high damage. Especially when I see malak use drain life(which is 100% damage) on another malak and it barely scratches him, it does maybe 1 or at most 2% actual damage. So I guess the two clones must have took at least 50 turns combined to do 30% actual damage. And sadly I don't know whether they took that many or not. It is certainly possible.

I won't try this again though, I don't want to loose a GAC match again, whether this damage is intentional or not. Thanks for the help though! At the very least I learned something new.

@djpajtaajto I believe the reduction is 98%. So a malak drain life will do 2% of malak’s health instead of 100%.

So to extrapolate - Aerial Advantage does 25% health damage per clone trooper turn. 4 clone trooper turns =100%.

Aerial advantage has a cool down rate of 4. Let’s assume that fives takes 3turns to rex’s 4, so the first aerial advantage should have bonus damage target of 175% of the target health, which would be 3.5% of malak’s health. If Rex used his second aerial advantage on malak, I would expect it to be about 7% of malak’s health, and the 3rd AA would do 10.5%. This is in addition to the “physical damage” (which can be mitigated by armor and depends on Rex and malak’s stats).
