Solved: Error 9.0 claiming earned mods - Page 2 - Answer HQ

Someone else now adding to that ticket which was solved for 1 person but not everyone.  Can we please have the courtesy of a response from this.  Even if it is just an update on any ongoing investigation.  Should there not be, is there any escalation process as one of my guildmembers and others have still suffered a loss of gaining mods or loss of mods from the Errorcode 9 issue.

I still have no explanation of how in game EA support could say our guildmember could sell equipped mods and would appreciate the full reasoning or explanation into this.

Thanks

@Darthjobbie The error 9.0 issue is still under investigation. Follow the official forum for updates on bug fixes.

Please provide a link to that forum where mod 9 is being updated in terms of solving, also is there any known plan in place to compensate or restore mods that our guild player lost through this error?

Still not received any in-game reply from EA support and after days of asking, it's 'go and look yourself'. I appreciate that you may or may not have access to confidential data, however, I continue to ask that someone reviews the account Ben Kryze (295486865) and inform us how someone could sell equipped mods. Meanwhile this so called investigation into this bug, this player is seriously at a loss of mod equipped characters which affects all events where he could earn possibly better rewards. Are we going to find out how this player will be compensated or will it be ignored when a fix is put in place?

An immediate review of that account should take place, recognise that the player has suffered a loss due to a known issue which is being investigated, at least reach out to the player in game, provide some sort of recompense in terms of mod and credits to put the player in the position he was in before the bug instance. Then that way, the team dealing with such bugs can quietly get on with finding, fixing and providing updates without pressure from the playing base.

The reason i am persistent on this is that the EA support in game stated he sold his mods so that evidence obviously exists and as such should be provided.  I would love to see if all mods he had were 'sold' in one go which would prove the argument that it is bug related and not sold mods as we all know, equipped mods need unequipped before any such selling action takes place.

I still look forward to a resolution for that account, I myself require nothing but putting Ben Kryze's account back to a similar position before the bug.

Honestly @EA_Gunner this account issue could be resolved in 5 minutes with a minor resolution.  If only someone looked, the main issue is that EA in game support have given a standard 'sold' response without understanding or recognising an issue.  PM me if you feel necessary because i do not want to seek an encouragement for all to get anything for free.  You would see that most people who are talking mods require just some little offer of goodwill to restore what was taken/not given.  Its not anything that would break EA/CG's method of investment by players.

@DarthJobbie I appreciate you advocating for your guildmate, but I think at this point you need to reduce the number of posts and be sure you're not hijacking other threads. The developer tracker is here: https://trello.com/b/vgQhKHMf/swgoh-developer-tracker. You can keep checking that, but there's no telling how long a bug will take to fix. If the error code 9 issue is under investigation, then all you can do is wait. I believe your guildmate may be suffering from a singular issue affecting several other users who have been posting lately. If my hunch is correct (and it is just a hunch, as I do not work for CG and do not have access to the game files), then there is a possibility your friend's mods might be restored if they fix this issue. Bug again, I can't actually speak to that.

As for the person who told you he sold them, it sounds like that might have been a response from EA general Support. Unfortunately, that resource is outsourced and any given service member may not have accurate knowledge of this game in particular. Since the issue has now been reported on Answers HQ,however, actual members of the development team are now aware of these issues and are looking into it.

@crzydroid That is the most honest and genuine response I probably would have hoped for. Yes hijacking posrs was a concern and i want to support all through this, with these reports you can see that people are reporting, re-reporting, chasing and it is something that has to change. Thanks for the actual link,.
