okay, than as noted before, let me report a bug properly and unrelated to the whole communication mess:

"in the GAC screen, it is STATED that player lock WILL HAPPEN in xy hours, whereas player lock has already happened the moment I clicked the Join button."

It will be very easy to verify as soon as matchmaking is done, as my toons will be missing mods and gear and stuff easily proven with screenshots.
Does this NOT qualify as a bug?

    Should EA summarize everything that players *can't* do in each post? We have never had the ability to back out of a GA once registered. For EA to tell us what we can't do for an option we have never had seems superfluous to me.

    As soon as that communication went out, I read it and made the connection that GA has no leave option and so players must be deliberate when they join GAC because players can't back out. I communicated that to my guild, and we made sure my entire alliance got the message, which was reiterated upon launch of the join period. It was there and clear for us- so maybe our members will have a competitive advantage as a result of paying very close attention to the announcement.

    I’m sorry not everyone has made that connection - so if you don’t like how EA is handling this player lock or their communications, the proper thing to do is post in the feedback forum.

    I agree with you all that an option to unlock the roster would be a great improvement. So get that post going on the main forums and see how much public interest you can get in the change. If enough players agree with you, EA might dedicate the resources to make it happen.
  • @GladOS-013we could go at length with bugs that exist in the game that CG seems to not deem important to fix. that you could claim are working as designed. and we can discuss it in the swgoh forums, and be completely ignored by CG, indefinitely.

    let me describe one that directly ties to this issue:

    GA roster lock happens once, at the beginning of the week, before facing your 3 opponents. but the display of those rosters is NOT locked. so what we have is if you check on an opponent's roster on day 3 or 5... its not the same as day 1. why? because CG fails??

    the burden is on the player to scout out every other player's roster/mods at that very moment at the star of the week and capture/memorize those rosters.... its ridiculous.

    because.. as time goes on throughout the week, if players update their rosters... the rosters are still locked, but the display that is given to the opponents is not preserved and therefore inaccurate.

    note how this can be exploited to fool your opponent, if they weren't capturing the data on day 1...

    in the middle of the week, you could remove mods from a team, the display will tell your opponent the team has no mods. the opponent will think about fighting your team undersized, then.. they go in and fight what is really a team with mods enabled, as they were enabled when rosters locked... yet the display didn't lock... this is a bug that has existed. (not reported? or not bothered to fix? idk)

    maybe this change to how rosters are locked on join instead of at end of join phase will indeed help prevent this, but time will tell. and the players are guinea pigs and testers, in a game they spend money on. and on a game mode that has been in the game for 12 months now.

  • How could players who don't speak English know about GA roster lock?

    Is this a descrimination of all non-English speaking players???
