It's actually the act of applying Breach that clears debuffs, from Executor's unique ability. However, the ability is currently broken and doesn't work for the allied fleet, only the enemy fleet, which makes mirrors much more difficult since they can correctly clear debuffs when breaching, while you cannot. Doesn't look like they're particularly interested in fixing it for now though, since it's just causing losses all round, more crystal loss and more frustration encouraging people to buy the solution when they inevitably release it in a few weeks time.
