Received a 'Chargeback Entitlement Revocation' email today
Received an email from EA this morning titled "Information related to your EA account." Within the email, I received the warning, in big bold letters with a red background: "WE HAVE RECEIVED NOTIFICATION FROM YOUR BANK OR PAYMENT PROVIDER REGARDING A CHARGEBACK OR REVERSAL ON A PAYMENT MADE ON YOUR EA ACCOUNT. AS A RESULT, WE HAVE CANCELLED ANY SUBSCRIPTION(S) THAT ARE ACTIVE, REMOVED ANY ENTITLEMENTS, OR GAMES ASSOCIATED WITH THE PAYMENT(S) AND WILL BEGIN TO MONITOR AND MAY RESTRICT FUTURE PURCHASED WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT."
This notice is related to a purchase I made on January 24th in the webstore: a bundle for $9.99. I made the purchase and received the item as expected. I then checked my PayPal transactions later and noticed two separate charges for the bundle: one for $9.49 (the price with the webstore discount reflected and no sales tax) and one for $10.06 (with sales tax). I reached out to PayPal to investigate the double charge and they automatically reversed one of the payments. I sent an email to EA customer service regarding this issue but have yet to receive a response or confirmation of receipt of my customer service inquiry.
I was advised to post here by fellow players in hopes of receiving a response which avoids banning my account. I've played this game for years (and spent entirely too much money) and would hate to have my account banned. If such were the resolution of this issue, I would not seek to start another account and would simply move on. I'm hoping I can receive an adequate resolution from someone here.
