Returning player can't access old account

I was playing back in 2017-2018 using a google play connected account but when I used the same account I got forced into a new fresh account.

I have the ally code from my swgoh.gg and the google play account. I can even check its achievements and the account itself and everything in it when finding allies. I also have the google play receipts from when I made purchases back then.

It's so annoying and support does not help at all even when they acknowledge that the old account exists.

I already tried the help article for recovering a lost account to no avail. Tried: restarting phone, reinstalling, logging out then back in, manually logging in, etc.

Has anyone experienced the same? How do I fix this? I don't wanna start from scratch.

  • I would recommend 2 things. First you picked a poor day to come back, many users, myself included have been having major login issues for the past several hours. You might want to give it a day or two and check the forums here to see if those issues have been resolved. Second try on other devices if you have them available, my login is working fine from both an Android phone and iPhone but not my preferred tablet. There is also a Windows app now available in the EA launcher. You might try and see if you can access your older account through Windows or another mobile device while they get the current mess sorted out. Best of luck and welcome back.
