I'm sure the developers will figure it out. It has been too long without any communication on the issue, and I'm surprised it's not patched already, but they're people too. I hope whoever made the mistake doesn't get fired or something. Twould be sad.

It has been working for most of us since last week's update. If it's not working for you @abc569685179 , it would be helpful to create a new bug report with details around which app(s) don't play background audio for you?
I seriously doubt anyone at EA/CG is looking at this report anymore.
