SWGOH locking up on iPhone 13 Pro Max

For the past week or so, SWGOH has been locking up on my iPhone 13 Pro Max.

It runs fine until I try entering a sector in TW or GA.  As soon as I click on Enter, the game just locks up.  The only way to fix it is to completely reboot my phone.  It then works for a little while but will eventually start locking up again.

Anyone else seeing this issue?  I am currently on IOS 17.5.1.

    To add a little more information here.  It actually seems the game only locks up when I am also on the phone.  Playing while not on the phone seems fine.
