Suddenly I'm not able to interact with anything in the game, the interface is there but it simply doesn't click. I've restarted the phone and reinstalled the game, and it hasn't solved.
Had anyone experienced a similar issue?

I have just asked Gemini, which after some back and forth pointed correctly that it was the game panel (Dashboard) from Android that was interfering with the game.
You can disable it on the phone settings.

I came here to post the exact same thing. Yesterday, everything was fine, but after 4pm EST, the game no longer responded to anything. I've been troubleshooting with ChatGPT and ruled out all the usual suspects.
Pixel 11, Android 17, October security update.
SWGOH launches and renders normally.
All game touch controls are unresponsive.
Android permission dialogs displayed over SWGOH are also unresponsive.
USB-C mouse works elsewhere but cannot interact with those dialogs while SWGOH is open.
Reinstallation, cache clearing, rebooting, and Developer Options workarounds did not help.
Spirit Island works normally in fullscreen.
The real key is that the Android Permission Dialog (for notifications) also doesn't respond, but I am able to interact with the Android Notification Shade and the system navigation, so all input isn't unresponsive.
Same issue, the game worked fine last night, I woke up today and I can't tap anything. The only thing that works is the back gesture to close the popup for the daily calendar item but from the main cantina screen, I can't click anything. I reinstalled the game but it still isn't working. There were no Android/phone updates installed.

My phone settings listed it as Games dashboard and I turned off the 1st setting in Games dashboard.
Turn off something on your phone that has always worked but doesn't now because of our incompetent coding...... CG: solved
How did EA ever make it past the games for the megadrive, I'll never know.
