P.S. Other games are working fine on GameCenter, so it doesn't appear to be a AppleID/GameCenter issue.
OK. Apparently a server issue with the new release this morning: https://forums.galaxy-of-heroes.starwars.ea.com/discussion/212737/server-update-8-29-2019.
