Vandor Chewie not Reviving LS Scoundrel Allies When Prepared

Product: Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes
Platform:Android Phone
What type of device are you experiencing the issue with? Game Play Issue
OS Version 7.0
Ally Code: (Find it here: http://bit.ly/AllyCode ) 987-665-469
What type of issue do you have? Gameplay
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Summarize your bug Vandor Chewie is not reviving light side scoundrel toons.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Playing smugglers run event Deadly(g12) event. Toon line up, Han Solo (g12 zeta) Young Han Solo (g12 zeta) Vandor Chewie (g12 zeta) Nest (g12 zeta) Vet Smuggler Han (g9) Twice now (1 win, 1 loss) Nest has died during tier 3 of the battle with the killing blow coming from one of the special buffed Death Troopers. Both times Vandor Chewie was prepared. Upon her death Vandor Chewie consumes his prepared token but Nest fails to re spawn. The tags required (light side scoundrel) for resurrection match Nest and obviously VC is triggered. Nothing in the special buff description alludes to permadeath so looks like a bug. Not sure if this behavior is exhibited by the Vandor Chewie/ Nest combo outside of the event or if it persists with other Vandor Chewie Light Side Smuggler Combos.

Death Troopers have a special ability called "Terminate" which includes the following information:

"Targets defeated by Terminate can't be revived."

So if they used that skill to kill any of your team, Vandor Chewie's revive ability will not be able to revive that dead character.

It's hard to tell when the battle is moving quickly whether they used the basic attack or terminate, unfortunately.

  • Just played a 3rd try... won with 3 stars.  This time Han Solo was killed but he was revived by Vandor Chewie as was expected.   So far it looks like it may just be a problem with Nest.

It's not to do with the buffs, Deathtrooper's "terminate" attack prevents revives. They must have used that against Nest, and their basic against Han.

Also, that is your player ID not your ally code you have posted. For security purposes I recommend editing or deleting it from your report.

  • Whoa... it been one of those days gonna be one of those months, decided to kick the habit and it is hard to focus.  Fixed my code.

As to the issue, for some reason I thought terminate only kept revives from happening if the toon had deathmark applied and since no one had died previously I didn't investigate that as a possibility.  However, a close read of of the skill description does indeed remove deathmark from the calculation, thought I could have swore that in the past deathmark was required to block revives.  Not enough circumstantial evidence to claim Mendela but this has raised an eyebrow.
