Same issue here except I do get a grid but it's the regular build/buy mode grid, not the one with the dots like in the first image. Honestly this is the only issue that annoys me in the Legacy Collection because I love to build custom lots. And I can't switch to the old version of the game because I never find affordable listings for the discs.
Is there no way to make it work at all, have you found?
Sadly no, the tool itself still works but the grid does not show up, I can only presume this is due to the new Vulkan renderer they’re using, and I don’t think this’ll be fixed with EA now fully focusing on The Sims 4’s patches now.
