Alt-Enter scaling options not working on The Sims 1?

Same issue here as well except pressing the buttons does nothing

Windows 10 / EA APP

in play mode I can zoom full screen with mouse but maps, cas, travel screens etc are all small sometimes glitchy squares on the screen
