Have any of you managed to successfully download the prepackaged cc that Maxis gave us to this new Legacy edition? I'm talking about the McDonalds kiosk and the Pepsi machine. Anytime I try to open the prepackage files it tells me the game is installed incorrectly. Any work around?
I have the same problem as this person. I went to the link you provided but it still isn't working for me. They still won't show up. Its really odd and I don't understand why it's not working 😢
I can confirm these items do not ship with the game, although we do have the Sim City 4 drinks machine which is just a recolored Pepsi machine and includes all the animations meaning you don't need the Pepsi machine download for any hacks/custom conent that claims to require it. The above fix to download them pre-extracted in ZIP format is the current workaround for this.
I want to thank you so much for the link and the advice! That helps alot. I didn't know about this site. No, the items didn't seem to be in my game but I'll recheck just in case. At least i have them in zip format if they don't happen to be in my game. Sorry it took so long to get back!
Hi! I'm confused about what is happening with opening the prepackaged files. The items appeared automatically in my game without needed to install anything. Are you sure they are not already in your game? If not, then maybe try downloading in a "zip" format here , instead of using the exe, and then plunk that into your downloads folder after you extract it.
