Relationships feel like they rise unnaturally slowly and fall unnaturally quickly - I do remember it being hard to make and maintain friendships in the Sims 1, just not quite that hard? My memory is of skills being significantly harder to build than what I'm experiencing, and friendships being slightly easier, but to be fair it has been about 20 years since I last played.

Totally agree!! Takes days and days for friendships and people get angry over anything, hug them they’re mad, kiss them they’re mad, joke they’re mad, gossip they’re mad. Next day they’re algood. Difficult to get up in careers when it’s impossible to be friends

Sims 1 is sort of nothing like 3 or 4. We are so used to 4's gameplay being "easy" that to play 1 and 2 is actually very difficult. It was like that when it first came out also. We were so "spoiled" with 4 and the take photos to raise your relationship thing.
