Hi. I biught the remastered sims 1 and 2 as a bundle
sims 1 will not launch at all, it says preparing game, then quits to the app.
sims 2 i got as far as creating a sim and it crashed
i bought the bundle through the ea app.
i have checked the operating compatibilty
i have uninstalled and reinstalled
my husband ( who is dar techier than i am) has tried all of the suggestions on the help forum. Issue persists
have you checked if anything needs updating? my sister had to update something on her computer and it worked.
catrinacol727 Please ask your husband if he uninstalled all 2015 and newer VC++ runtimes and reinstalled the 2022 versions (x86 and x64). If not, open Windows Settings > Apps, scroll down to the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables, and uninstall everything from 2015 and newer. Don't touch the older versions.
Download the x86 and x64 versions (not the ARM version) of the 2022 runtimes from Microsoft:

Install the runtimes, restart your computer, and try to play.
